A FLamazing Bridge card

Hey Y’all!,

Today, I am posting one of the cards we made at our Fun Stampers Journey Hits the Road event.  This card is called a bridge card. To be such an AMAZING looking card, it is a lot easier than it looks. Yes! Really!! 🙂

Here’s how you do it.

Cut your base card stock at 4 1/4 x 8″. You can get two card bases from one sheet of CS.

Next, score this card base at 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″, 5 1/2″, and 6 3/4″, on the long side.

You will cut 4  1 x 4″ pieces of patterned paper, and one patterned piece at 1 x 5 1/4″, ( this is the bridge). You will need a piece of CS base cut at  1 1/4 x 5 1/2″. (This is the base CS for the bridge).

For the back piece you will need a 2 3/4 x 4″ piece of CS.  If you like to layer you would cut a 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of paper.  I used only the first set of measurements.

You will need a piece of Vellum CS cut at 3/4″ x 4″ Depending on the size of your sentiment.

Next, adhere all the pieces of patterned paper to the coordinating panels, all on the same side.  Adhere the one piece of patterned paper to the Bridge CS base.

Fold in the left side of the card, ( with patterned paper facing up) so that the outer flap on the right side is facing up.  Adhere the bridge piece to the left hand side, about 3/4″ up from bottom of card base.  Leaving the right hand side of card flat, adhere the right side of the bridge to this panel.  The ends of this bridge piece should only be adhered to the left and right side panels.

While the card is laying flat, adhere greenery and flowers to the corner of the bridge piece and the left hand side, and on the inside of the card base. Add any other embellishments at this time.

Stamp your sentiment on vellum, emboss, and glue under the flower.

*Note I used our Fun Stampers Journey Wrapping paper for the  black and white panels.  When using the Journey Wrapping paper, use our White liner tape or our Easy Glide adhesive runner.

Another note is that the yellow dots were made with our Lemon Sparkle Tape put on Lemon Drop CS.  We then punched 1/4″ holes out of the sparkle paper.

I want to give a BIG shout out to my good stamping buddy…..Carol Couch.  I was inspired by this beautiful card she made  for our club swaps.  We all just loved it.  We loved it so much we had to use the card in this post for our Flamingle event.
