Christmas in August

Hey Y’all,

I have been making a lot of Christmas and holiday cards the last couple of weeks getting prepared for Holiday Stamp a Stacks, and classes.  They were all last week so now I am ready to post.  If these classes filled up before you signed up, stay tuned, I have more classes scheduled in September and October.  ๐Ÿ™‚

The card I am sharing today is a gorgeous navy and silver card, using the Ornament Swirl die. I also used the Happy Merry stamp set.  I LOVE FSJ Mirror card stock.  It is so gorgeous and it cuts so easy!!!  The paper I used is from a non Christmas paper pack called Romantic Journey Prints.  The directions and all of the products I used are listed below.  I also submitted this card for a Watercooler wednesday challenge.

I hope you can see the beautiful shimmer in the Denim Days Ribbon  It is gorgeous!!

Directions:

  1. Whip Cream card base is cut at 5 1/2″ x 7 1/4″. Score at 4 1/4″. Three pieces of Denim Days CS are cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and 5 1/4″ x 2 3/4″, and cut  the circle from the ornament die. Using Romantic Journey Paper, cut one piece at 5 1/8″ x 2 5/8″. Cut one piece of Whip Cream at 1″ x4″. Cut a 5″ piece of Denim Days Sparkle Ribbon, and one 5″ piece of Twinkle Trim.
  2. Stamp “Merry” on the musical note piece of patterned paper, and “Christmas” on the piece of 1″ Whip Cream.
  3. Remove the Silver swirls  from the ornament. Glue the silver ornament onto the piece of Denim Days circle. Use Journey Foam squares to attach the oranment to the front of the musical note paper, beside the “Merry”. Attach the swirls to the inside of card. Adhere the 1″ piece of CS with “Christmas” on it to the inside of card so that when the card is closed the ornament hides it.
  4. Tie the Denim Days piec of ribbon into a  knot/bow and adhere the piece of TwinkleTrim and the bow with Jorney Glue Dots.
  5. Finish card with Fashion Silver Embellishments

Not a great picture of the inside of the card but you can get an idea.  ๐Ÿ™‚
