Just a little…Detailed Foliage and Christmas

Hey Y’all,

Thanks for stopping by today.  In this blog post, I am concentrating on the Detailed Foliage Die.  It is a small, single die, but has so many possibilities.  I used this die as a die cut and as an embossed element on this card.

I entered this card in two challenges this week.  The Watercooler Wednesday challenge which was a Christmas challenge. …and last but not least, I participated in the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I used the square, linen thread, and scoring. I love it when one card works for more than one challenge!

I am beginning to think about my Christmas card classes so I used the Sparkle and Shine sentiment from the Holiday Sparkle set.  In the close up below you can see the embossed image of the Detail Foliage Die.  The square behind the foliage die is our Square Film Die.

         Embossed Detail Foliage Die

The Silver Mirror paper, and Fashion Silver dots gives a festive look to the card. These items are new this year and I LOVE them BOTH!!

I did a variation of the above card using Gold Mirror paper. I really don’t know which I like the most…Silver or Gold.

I used the Square Die to cut and perforate the center.  I also used the Heart Lattice Die cut out with Whip Cream CS and layered it behind the Square. Behind the Heart Lattice I layered a square of Gold Mirror paper

I used Gold Embossing powder for the sentiments on the outside and inside of this card. The sentiments are from the Holiday Wishes stamp set. This set will be available in the Holiday Mini Catalog beginning in August.

These are the two cards side by side.

Thanks again for stopping by today.  Hope you liked the cards and will visit again.  Also, if you haven’t already, please subscribe so that you will get  notice of all new posts.

Happy Stamping,

Beautiful cards, Char. I would have to go with the silver as my favourite, although both versions are stunning. I love the elegance of those die-cut sprigs against that elegant square die-cut. Beautiful lay-out. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
