Bible Journaling: Visual and Creative Note-Taking
I have recently been introduced to Bible Journaling by my friend Becky Blackburn. If you are like me, you may already take notes in the margins of your bible. Maybe highlight passages in different colors, and add tabs for important scriptures. Well now, Bible note taking has taken on a brand new form called Bible Journaling. Bible Journaling is a way of reflecting on God’s word and being able to express it in our own creative ways. It is Perfect for visual learners, creative people, and doodlers.
I have found that for me, when journaling , I am able to condense thoughts and texts to a more visual, and sometimes creative form. I have also found that I remember more, and ponder longer the passage or text.
And really, you do not have to be creative because Bible Journaling is becoming so popular that there are A LOT of ideas, blogs, tweets, and pinterest posts (I now have a large Bible Journaling board on pinterest) to help you along.
This page that I am showing today was done by free handing the lettering and stamping the lighthouse from the FSJ Nautical Sketches stamp set. (Summer Mini. SS-0261)
I stamped the image using our FSJ Black Licorice Ink and then colored with FSJ inks and the Fusion Blender. Non FSJ supplies that I used were Micron Black Pens, and colored pencils.
Thank for stopping by!!!!
